Job Overview
We are seeking an Apprentice Welder to join our workshop team.
If you have an interest in working with metal – welding, cutting and reshaping it – you can join our team and conduct an apprenticeship at a local college, where you will study and learn while you’re working.
Responsibilities
The role will include, but is not limited to;
- Practice and perform basic welds on mild steel under supervision
- Cut, grind, clean and fit metal pieces together before welding
- Learn to read and understand technical engineering blueprints and symbols
- Wear sufficient protective gear, keep the work area clean, and follow factory safety rules
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high levels of determination and enthusiasm
Qualifications/Experience
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently following clear instructions as well as working as part of a team
