Are you an experienced Support Worker with a background in complex care, mental health, autism, learning disabilities or behaviours that may challenge?
OptiMatch Solutions is recruiting experienced Complex Care Support Workers for permanent opportunities across Gloucester and surrounding areas.
We’re looking for confident, compassionate people who understand that good complex care is about more than completing tasks. It’s about building trust, recognising individual needs, promoting independence and providing calm, consistent support when someone is having a difficult day.
The role
You’ll provide person-centred support to adults with a range of complex needs. Depending on your experience and the service, this may include supporting people with:
- Autism and learning disabilities
- Mental health needs
- Acquired brain injuries
- Epilepsy
- Physical disabilities
- Complex health needs
- Behaviours that may challenge
- High levels of emotional or behavioural support needs
Your responsibilities may include supporting daily routines and independence, personal care, medication, appointments and community activities, nutrition, emotional wellbeing and accurate care documentation.
You may also use positive behaviour support and de-escalation approaches to help individuals feel safe, understood and supported.

We’re particularly interested in hearing from candidates with previous experience in roles such as:
- Complex Care Support Worker
- Mental Health Support Worker
- Senior Support Worker
- Healthcare Assistant
- Learning Disability Support Worker
- Autism Support Worker
You should be confident working with individuals who have complex support needs, able to remain calm under pressure and committed to providing respectful, person-centred care.

Hours and shifts
Permanent full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
Shift patterns can include early shifts, late shifts, long days, waking nights and weekends. Your experience, availability and preferred working pattern will be discussed during the recruitment process.
Pay and development
Pay ranges from £13.00 to £16.00 per hour, depending on the specific role, service and level of experience required.
