We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks under the guidance of chefs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Support catering operations by preparing ingredients and assisting in the assembly of dishes.
- Help with serving meals to Residents, ensuring an excellent dining experience.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, following all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting shortages.
- To cook a few times a week
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including roles such as catering or restaurant experience.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and food safety practices is essential.
- A background in culinary arts or related fields would be advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are crucial.
