Digital Content & Marketing Officer (Part-Time)
Location: Osteopathic Centre for Children, Southwark, London SE1 (Clinic Based)
Hours: 14 hours per week (2 days)
Salary: £32,000–£35,000 Full-Time Equivalent (Actual salary £12,800–£14,000 per annum), plus employer pension contribution.

About the Osteopathic Centre for Children
The Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC) is the UK's leading children's osteopathic charity.
For over 30 years we have provided specialist osteopathic care for babies, children, young people and pregnant women, regardless of their family's ability to pay.
Alongside our clinical services, we deliver postgraduate education, professional development and research, helping improve children's health while training the next generation of paediatric osteopaths.
Purpose of the Role
This is not a traditional digital marketing role.
We're looking for someone who can discover, capture and share the stories that demonstrate the real impact of our charity.
Working closely with the Community Engagement & Marketing Manager, you'll spend time within our busy clinic, speaking with patients (where appropriate consent has been obtained), families, volunteers, osteopaths and students to create engaging content across our website, social media, email marketing and fundraising campaigns.
Your work will help more children access specialist healthcare, inspire supporters to donate and promote our education programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Storytelling & Content Creation
- Identify and develop compelling stories that showcase the charity's impact.
- Interview patients and families (with appropriate consent), volunteers, clinicians and students.
- Write patient stories, case studies, blogs, interviews and news articles.
- Capture high-quality photography and short-form video content.
- Maintain a library of testimonials, photography, video and digital assets.
- Ensure all content complies with GDPR, safeguarding and consent procedures.
Website & Digital Communications
- Manage and update the charity's website using WordPress or a similar CMS.
- Publish regular news, events and campaign content.
- Improve website content and user experience.
- Ensure content is accurate, accessible and on brand.
Social Media
- Create engaging social media campaigns.
- Design graphics using Canva or similar software.
- Schedule content across digital platforms.
- Monitor engagement and recommend improvements.
Email Marketing
- Produce newsletters and email campaigns using Mailchimp or similar software.
- Promote fundraising appeals, education programmes and community events.
- Monitor campaign performance and audience engagement.
Fundraising & Education Support
Working with colleagues across the organisation to promote:
- Fundraising campaigns.
- Community engagement activities.
- Education courses.
- CPD programmes.
- Charity events.
- Organisational campaigns.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor website and social media performance.
- Produce monthly reports.
- Recommend improvements based on digital insights.
Person Specification
Essential
- Experience in digital marketing, communications or content creation.
- Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills.
- Experience managing websites using WordPress or similar CMS.
- Experience managing social media platforms.
- Experience using Canva and Mailchimp (or similar platforms).
- Good photography skills.
- Experience creating short-form video content.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Friendly, confident and professional with excellent interpersonal skills.
Desirable
- Experience in the charity, healthcare or education sector.
- Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics.
- Experience using CRM databases.
- Basic video editing skills.
Working Pattern
This is primarily a clinic-based role.
The successful candidate will spend most of their working time within our London clinic, building relationships and capturing the stories that demonstrate the impact of our work.
Occasional evening or weekend working may be required to support fundraising events, education courses and community activities.
Paid overtime or time off in lieu will be provided for agreed additional hours.
Additional paid hours may also be available during busy periods throughout the year.
