Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting and possess mechanical knowledge, along with the ability to work with various tools and equipment. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes on a range of surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint using spray equipment.
- Mix paints and other materials according to specifications or instructions.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during the painting process.
- Fabricate and assemble components as needed for specific projects.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standards.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times while working in various environments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in painting roles or similar positions is preferred.
- Basic maths skills for measuring areas and calculating quantities of materials required.
- Mechanical knowledge to understand equipment operation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, welding techniques, and warehouse practices is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour matching and finishing techniques.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients.
