Job Overview
OptiMoveTherapy is an established, growing private sports therapy clinic in Chesterfield, built on a strong local reputation and 86 Google reviews. We help people move better, feel stronger and recover faster, from athletes pushing their limits to people who simply want to stay active and pain free. Our approach is to find the root of the problem and get lasting results, not paper over it, and to do that in a friendly, unhurried private clinic where patients feel looked after. Purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality sports therapy to an inherited and growing caseload: assessing and treating musculoskeletal and sports injuries, retaining the patients handed over from the owner through a structured handover, and building a new-patient caseload of your own with the clinic's support.
Responsibilities
● Assess, diagnose and treat musculoskeletal and sports injuries (lower back, hip and groin, shoulder, neck, elbow and wrist, sciatica and related presentations)
● Deliver hands-on treatment including sports massage and manual therapy, and design bespoke rehabilitation plans
● Take on and retain patients handed over from the owner, through warm introductions and continuity of care
● See new patients, and convert and retain them into ongoing care
● Work with the owner on generating and following up new patient enquiries
● Keep accurate clinical records, and refer on where a case sits outside sports therapy scope
● Uphold clinic standards, safeguarding and professional boundaries at all times
Skills
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and musculoskeletal systems essential for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain treatment procedures and motivate clients.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating seamlessly within multidisciplinary teams.
- Energetic attitude with a passion for sports medicine and athlete development.
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques such as massage, manipulation, or mobilization.
- Organized with meticulous attention to detail for record keeping and progress tracking.
- Flexibility to adapt treatment plans based on individual needs and evolving best practices.
What the clinic offers:
● An established, warm diary to step into, with active support to fill and grow it
● Mentoring from an experienced sports therapist and owner
● A supportive, private clinic environment and a clear route to an employed, salaried role
