Overview
We are a bespoke kitchen furniture company that makes products from solid wood. We are looking for somebody to work for us full time to assist with painting and basic joinery duties. This job will suit anyone with an interest in joinery. cabinet making or painted finishes. Or will suit anyone with a strong work ethic who just needs a full time job. No specific experience is required- we will train anyone.
Duties
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of drawers and doors
- Use hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and finish materials
- Support experienced bench joiners in installing cabinetry, furniture, and other woodwork components
- Lifting and carrying of cabinets- preparing cabinets for the painted finishes
- Applying the hand painted finishes to the cabinets
- Finishing wooden/oak worktops
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all fabrication, assembly, and construction activities
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic about learning new skills within woodworking, joinery, and construction trades
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures preferred but not essential—training will be provided
- You will need to be physically fit and strong to carry the cabinets.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions carefully
- Willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic
- You will need to be able to commute to Wetherby easily or local
Job Details
- The hours are 8am-5pm- you get 30 mins lunch and 15 mins tea break
- There is parking available up the street
- There are opportunities to progress to a higher paying position with more responsibility for the right individual.
- You will be eligible for a Christmas bonus
- 40 hours per week- with Saturday morning overtime available.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
