Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Maintenance Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairs, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical knowledge, leadership qualities, and excellent customer service skills to support various operational needs.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and building infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently and safely.
- Supervise maintenance activities, coordinate with team members, and oversee contractors when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in organising maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and disruption to operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
Experience
- Proven experience in general maintenance or a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures for diverse equipment types.
- Excellent command of English language skills for clear communication across teams.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to supervise projects or teams confidently.
- Previous experience in customer service roles is advantageous for maintaining positive internal relationships.
