Lakes Home Care is looking for an experienced female live-in carer to provide care for a lady in Windermere-Cumbria.
This post is for a start date of 16th June, 1 week on 1 week off. We are looking for someone to start ASAP until Tuesday 18th November . There may be more work available after this but it isn't confirmed yet. Please only apply if you have a DBS on the update Service and are able to commence the placement on or before 10/11/2025.
The role includes living with and caring for a lovely lady who lives on her own. She requires support with medicines, cooking-with dietary requirements, attending appointments, calming her anxiety and help around the house. She doesn't currently require personal care but the right candidate will be willing to undertake personal care tasks if required.
The right candidate must:
- Be a driver and have a car that you can use to support the client to appointments, or outings.
- Be able to commence on Tuesday 16th June, and work 1 week on, 1 week off
- Be experienced with live-in care
- Be able to provide reassurance to a client who experiences anxiety
If you're successful in your application and interview, your employment will be subject to:
- A satisfactory enhanced DBS check (update service)
- A further, informal interview with the client and a family member
- Receipt of two references which in our opinion are satisfactory.
Pay: £875 per week (Self employed - although we can offer employment if preferred)
£50 food allowance per-week/food provided by the client.
Reimbursement of some of the cost towards your return journey to and from the clients home, amount dependant on your location.
Hours: We are looking for around the clock, live-in care. You will have a two hour no-contact break during the day. The client does not currently require support during the night.
