GuDee is a multi-award-winning food and nutrition start-up brand bringing a nutrient-rich West African superseed, into the UK health market. We are on a mission to make whole-food nutrition accessible, and we are looking for a passionate, reliable student to help us grow our presence both online and at live events across the UK.
The Opportunity
This is your chance to get inside a growing start-up and actually matter. You will own our social media, travel the UK with the founder and build a portfolio with real brand experience behind it, from day one.
The Role
This is a hands-on, varied freelance role split across two areas social media management and live event support.
You will take ownership of GuDee's social media presence on Instagram, managing content creation, scheduling and posting consistently. You will also join the founder at trade events and pop-ups across the UK, supporting and assisting on the day to help bring the GuDee brand to life in person.
You will never be working alone, you will be working directly alongside Chibs, the founder, at every event.
What You Will Do
Social Media
- Manage GuDee's social media account
- Plan, create and post content consistently and in line with GuDee's brand style and content pillars
- Capture and repurpose behind-the-scenes content from events
- Create short-form content including Reels, Stories and product posts
Events
- Attend trade shows, pop-ups and events alongside the founder across the UK, including Birmingham, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Cardiff and more
- Support with setup, customer engagement and in-event content capture
- Engage confidently with customers and communicate our products clearly
What We Are Offering
- £200 per month content creation retainer
- £100 per event day
- Performance bonus available for strong event weekends
- Between 15 and 20 event days planned between September and Christmas, giving you the potential to earn between £2,000 and £3,000 during that period
- All travel and accommodation covered for events outside Birmingham - you will travel with the founder
- Hands-on experience working directly alongside the founder, building your experience with a real and growing brand
Who We Are Looking For
- Currently enrolled as a student at a Birmingham-based university - this is essential
- Based in Birmingham, as you will be travelling to events with the founder
- Passionate about nutrition, health, wellness, culture, marketing or content creation
- Naturally creative with a good eye for content (we will look at your personal social media as part of the application)
- Comfortable filming and editing short-form video on a phone
- A quick learner who is eager to grow and take direction
- Comfortable with customer-facing sales communication
- Confident, friendly and self-motivated
- Available for weekend events across the UK
- Reliable and able to work independently on social media while collaborating closely at events
No formal experience required
We are not looking for a CV full of brand experience. We are looking for the right person, someone naturally creative, enthusiastic and eager to learn. If you are active on social media and have a good eye for content, and we want to hear from you.
