Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assisting residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting individuals with their care plans tailored to their specific needs
- Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance quality of life
- Administering medication as directed and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
- Helping with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Driving clients to appointments or activities as required
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Maintaining detailed documentation of care provided using IT systems
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred for roles involving driving responsibilities
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
- Ability to work flexibly, including shifts that may involve evenings or weekends if required
