Prestwood Lodge is a privately owned care home accommodating up to 30 elderly residents, located in Prestwood, near Stourbridge, and it offers an excellent working environment. Our passionate, supportive manager lead a fantastic team of staff that are committed to what they do. For many years we have employed individuals whose strongest skills are their empathy, patience and compassion for those in their care.
We aim to provide a high-quality service to meet the individual needs of our elderly clients in ways that respect their privacy and dignity and promote independence, helping them to enjoy every day to the full. The role includes assistance with personal care tasks such as toileting, bathing, dressing/undressing. You will support clients with their various levels of mobility, with practical tasks and to participate in varied and enjoyable leisure activities. You will contribute to the planning of client care needs, read and write care notes and other daily records. Experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
This role is based around 37.5 hours per week.
Rotas are usually repeating and organised around 6 weeks in advance to facilitate the planning of home life and commitments.
· A Part-time early shift starts at 7.30 am and ends at 1:30 pm
· A Part-time afternoon shift starts at 3.30 pm and ends at 9.30 pm
· Weekend shifts are included on a rota basis
· Each shift in excess of 6 hours includes a 30-minute unpaid break

The successful candidate will require an enhanced DBS check, at their own cost, which the home can arrange.
The home is not on a bus route so candidates would require their own transport or other arrangements would need to be considered.
