We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organised Payrolland Finance Administrator to join our Northampton office based in Grange Park. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to play a key role within our HR and Finance teams, ensuring the accurate and efficient administration of payroll, benefits and other financial processes.
Working closely with our HR Director and Finance Director, you will take ownership of payroll administration while supporting pension admin, benefits, expenses, budgeting and financial reporting activities.
Working pattern
This is a part-time position for 20 hours per week across 5 days. The salary is pro-rata'd, with the full time equivalent being £32,000-£38,000 per annum (depending on experience). Due to the nature of payroll processing, we are seeking someone who can offer flexibility in their working pattern when required. While working hours will be agreed in advance, there may be occasions when adjustments are needed to align with payroll deadlines and month-end activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll (alongside our payroll provider), including salary changes, overtime, bonuses and statutory payments.
- Administer pensions, employee benefits
- Ensure payroll compliance with HMRC, pension regulations and GDPR requirements.
- Respond to payroll queries and liaise with HR, Finance and operational teams.
- Maintain holiday records using the Humaans HR system.
- Process staff expenses and manage the firm's business credit card process.
- Support the Financial Director with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and audit requirements.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management information, including budget and sales reports.
- Assist in the preparation of financial information required for external audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance purposes.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in payroll, finance, HR administration or a similar role.
- Knowledge of payroll / pensions legislation, PAYE, statutory payments
- Strong numerical, analytical and Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information and meet deadlines.
