Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our valve manufacturing operations within our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production team, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining high-quality output. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in manufacturing processes, mechanical knowledge, and team leadership to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Supervise daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Coordinate and oversee the utilisation of machinery, including maintenance and troubleshooting as needed
- Lead, motivate, and organise production staff to meet operational targets and deadlines
- Implement process improvements to optimise efficiency and reduce waste
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in training new team members on assembly procedures, tool usage, and safety practices
- Manage inventory levels of tools, parts, and raw materials required for production processes
- Document production metrics, report on performance issues, and recommend corrective actions
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools effectively
- Strong understanding of assembly processes and equipment maintenance
- Experience with warehouse operations including inventory management and logistics coordination
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead teams efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff at all levels
- Ability to identify safety hazards promptly and implement appropriate measures
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in manufacturing or engineering are desirable but not essential
Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
