Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of materials and equipment required for daily operations
- Support team members in completing production or logistical tasks efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas to ensure safety standards are met
- Operate basic machinery or tools as instructed, adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any faults or issues promptly
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support stock management activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing supplies
- Assist with loading and unloading goods using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment
- Participate in training programmes to enhance skills relevant to the role
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar operational or labouring role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good physical fitness, capable of lifting moderate weights and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards at all times
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including early mornings or late shifts if necessary
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing or industrial environment is desirable but not mandatory
