Identifying the needs of vulnerable homeless people and working with them to manage these needs and develop life skills.
Communicating with a diverse range of people
Minimum Level 2 Certificate in supporting people at risk of homelessness, or equivalent in social care, support services etc.
Ability to build supportive relationships with residents whilst maintaining professional boundaries
Ability to work as part of the team, but also on own initiative and, at times, unsupervised
Excellent records keeping skills
Ability to use Information and Communication Technology and adapt to use housing specific software applications
Good written and verbal communication skills and the capacity to engage and communicate with individuals at all levels
Understanding of the impact of trauma and ability to work in a trauma informed way within a PIE (Psychologically Informed Environment)
Understanding of issues effecting vulnerable and homeless people
Good understanding of Safeguarding and what constitutes abuse
Knowledge and understanding of health and safety
Highly committed to improving the lives of those who have experienced homelessness
Work within the boundaries of IMPAKT housing and support policies and procedures
Ability to respect the Ethos of the IMPAKT Housing & Support and uphold its values
Willingness to develop within the job and undergo relevant training
Friendly personality with a good sense of humour
Clean enhanced DBS (Paid for by the organisation)
