Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver on a casual contract with some associated warehouse duties to join our team to work approximately 30 hours a week Tuesday to Friday. This role involves delivering goods efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse tasks and operating commercial vehicles, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, organisation, and communication.
Responsibilities
The Delivery Driver/Warehouse support will report to Head of Operations and Warehouse Manager
The Role:
Warehouse ( as and when needed)
- Supporting the warehouse team when required to include picking and packing orders, booking in goods and storing in the appropriate locations.
- Cleaning and managing the maintenance of the van including weekly H&S checks. Inclusive of disposing of all rubbish and cardboard appropriately
- Must be versatile within the dynamic business environment
Driving (approx. 3 days a week subject to needs of the business)
- Undertake a range of deliveries, from curb side to white glove, and furniture assembly using manufacturer instructions.
- Working with the logistics team to create a delivery schedule nationwide based on our specified routes, may include London deliveries from time to time.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure orders are complete and the customer is satisfied
- Contacting customers to advise of deliveries prior to and on the day of delivery.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicle with the required stock, supporting in the warehouse when needed to achieve this.
- Conducting transfers between our warehouse and showrooms.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Qualified and able to drive a 3.5 tonne Luton vehicle
- Over 25 years of age to be able to drive on HOL insurance
- Experience of working in a customer facing environment
- Good people skills - friendly and professional personality with a strong ‘can-do’ attitude
- Full and clean UK driving licence
- Strong time management skills
- Experience in using electric and manual tool
- Ability to walk, drive, lift and carry items up to a weight of 25kg
We will be looking to interview as soon as possible at our head office in Ludlow.
Whilst we embrace flexible working you must be able to reliably commute to Ludlow, Shropshire.
