Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and have experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young children, fostering their development and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. The successful candidate must be fun and have a strong sense of adventure! Our setting boasts an amazing outdoor space alongside the use of Forest School opportunities for children who attend our nursery. We are a very natural and calming nursery where the children's needs are met in a variety of challenging and exciting activities. We pride our self on our home from home setting whilst fostering strong bonds with the children entrusted to our care.
Duties
- Provide attentive and responsive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and encourage parental involvement.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring each child’s individual needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, sharing updates with parents as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive nursery environment that supports children's emotional and social development.
- Drive initiatives that promote good hygiene practices and healthy lifestyles among children.
- Demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring junior staff or trainees as required.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively engage with children and parents.
- Experience managing groups of children while maintaining a calm and organised atmosphere is preferred.
- A passion for working with young children and fostering their growth through play-based learning is essential.

Pay: £28,177.00-£31,181.28 per year
