We are a long-established independent community pharmacy in Bedford. We are growing the prescription and retail sides of our business strongly, due mainly to the high calibre of our staff, strong personal relationships with our customers, an improving product range and helping each other provide great customer service.
We seek an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our friendly team of experienced staff. With support, you will mainly work as a part of the dispensary team. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday; and potentially on Saturdays.

The main duties of your position will be to:
- Dispensing prescription medications
- Checking Prescriptions
- Helping Provide Services
- Putting stock orders away
- Giving out prescriptions to patients
- Dealing with patient queries
- Keep up to date with knowledge of health conditions and our retail products, and suggest new products to introduce to our range
- Advise customers on health services such as quitting smoking, flu vaccination, etc.
The successful candidate should demonstrate:

- At least 1 year of relevant work in pharmacy

References must be provided that support the above.
Previous work experience in community pharmacy, knowledge of typical community health conditions and pharmacy retail products will be strong advantages to candidates.
As the successful candidate you will be supported and trained on the job by our experienced staff and the pharmacist manager, and will complete formal pharmacy-related qualifications. Over time, we would like to give you as much responsibility as you would like, particularly with management of the retail activities of the pharmacy.
You will report to, and work closely with the pharmacist manager on a daily basis. You will also report to and work with the owner on the retail aspects of your work.
