The Role
Every order in our business starts here.
Our Customer Account team is the control centre of The Printing People. From the first enquiry to final delivery, this team keeps jobs moving, customers informed, and deadlines on track.
This is a hands-on, high-responsibility operational role. You’ll spend much of your day speaking with customers, managing orders, checking details, solving problems and coordinating with our studio and production teams.
If you enjoy being busy, thinking clearly under pressure and taking ownership of your work, you’ll thrive here.
This isn’t a scripted call-centre job. We’re looking for someone who can use judgement, stay organised, and communicate confidently.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing customer enquiries from first contact through to delivery
- Advising clients on suitable print solutions (full training provided)
- Handling phone calls and emails - we believe in real conversations
- Creating and following up quotations
- Processing orders accurately and efficiently
- Liaising with design and production teams to keep jobs on schedule
- Managing multiple live orders at once without letting standards slip
- Solving issues calmly and practically when challenges arise
You’ll often have several active conversations and projects running simultaneously. Staying organised and thinking clearly matters.
What Makes Someone Great In This Role
This role suits someone who:
- Picks things up quickly and thinks logically
- Can juggle multiple tasks without becoming flustered
- Is comfortable on the phone and speaks confidently
- Takes responsibility rather than waiting to be told
- Has a genuine “let’s get this sorted” mindset
- Takes pride in accuracy and doing things properly
Experience in customer service is helpful but not essential.
We care more about intelligence, attitude and reliability than years on a CV.
