The Role
We are seeking a Registered Manager, ideally a Registered Nurse (NMC‑registered), to lead our care team at Yorklea Nursing Home. We will also consider experienced non‑clinical managers with strong leadership backgrounds in adult social care.
The successful candidate will:
- Ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care through effective leadership, supervision, and professional practice.
- Provide a visible, accessible, and supportive presence for staff, residents, and families.
- Maintain and strengthen the operational effectiveness of the service.
- Manage complex situations confidently, making decisions based on long‑term benefits for residents and the service.
- Demonstrate strong emotional intelligence and build constructive relationships with all stakeholders.
- Address conflict appropriately and use outcomes as opportunities for improvement.
- Resolve difficult situations fairly by understanding perspectives and finding common ground.
- Negotiate effectively with internal and external partners to reach solutions without damaging relationships.
Qualifications
Required (for clinical applicants):
- Registered Nurse (NMC‑registered)
Required (for all applicants):
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care
