We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse to join our family run dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and organisation within the clinic. Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring smooth operation and patient safety
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
- Provide excellent patient care, offering reassurance and information throughout their visit
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilise equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Offer post-treatment advice and instructions to patients as required
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing stock levels
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service delivery
Qualifications
- Recognised qualification as a Dental Nurse from an accredited institution
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental setting is desirable
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Good IT skills for managing electronic patient records and appointment systems
- Knowledge of current health and safety standards related to dental practice
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst maintaining attention to detail
