Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
- Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports to support decision-making processes
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of transactions
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in financial management
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant regulatory requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and systems
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the financial services sector
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems
- Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to analyse complex financial data and present clear reports
- Experience in managing accounts payable and receivable processes
- Demonstrated mentoring skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Relevant qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of regulatory standards applicable to financial reporting is advantageous
