Job Summary:
We are seeking Front of House team members to join our team and deliver exceptional service at our on-site cafe at Eskmills, as well as opportunities to work at external markets and events. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service, barista experience, a passion for good food, maintain cleanliness and organisation in the cafe and contribute to the overall efficiency of operations.
You will work in a dynamic environment, where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Work hard to remain knowledgeable about products and share our passion for great food.
- Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are accommodated.
- Prepare and serve beverages, including coffee, tea and specialty drinks, following recipes and presentation standards.
- Serve food items, such as pastries, sandwiches and other baked goods with attention to detail and presentation.
- Handle cash and card transactions, operate the POS system, and maintain accurate records of sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas of the cafe.
- Monitor and replenish supplies to ensure smooth service flow.
- Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure timely order delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, concerns and feedback, striving to resolve issues and exceed expectations independently.
- Uphold cafe policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Front of House position, with a focus on food and beverage service.
- Previous experience as a barista in a busy hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on the needs of the cafe.
- A positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Full, clean driving licence preferred.
