The Role
As a Cup Shop Pottery Operative, you'll play an important role in producing high-quality ceramic products including cups, mugs, bowls and other tableware.
Working within a supportive production team, your duties will include:
- Operating cup shop machinery to produce ceramic ware
- Loading clay cylinders onto machinery
- Monitoring machine performance to ensure consistent quality
- Inspecting products throughout the manufacturing process
- Removing seams and imperfections using sponges to create a smooth finish
- Applying glaze to biscuit ware where required
- Maintaining excellent quality standards
- Following all health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates will have:
- Previous pottery or manufacturing experience (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- A reliable and positive attitude
- A methodical approach to work
- The ability to stand for long periods
- Comfortable working in a warm production environment
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Shifts and pay
- Rotating Shifts: Monday to Thursday 05.45 - 13.45 / 13.45-21.45 Friday 05.45 - 12.45 / 12.45-17.45
- Payrate £12.81 per hour raising to £13.60 once trained.
- (1.75hrs) Monday to Thursday (8hrs shift allowance over 2 weeks)
- Overtime: available
- permanent day 1 placement.
