Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Towable Hire Equipment Driver with experience delivering towable hire equipment. This role involves operating company vehicles during evening and weekend hours to ensure timely deliveries and transportation services. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, towing/recovery experience is essential and excellent communication. This position offers an opportunity to work flexible hours while contributing to efficient logistical operations.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles during evening and weekend shifts, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Deliver towable hire equipment to various locations promptly and professionally.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or injury.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles, including tyre pressure, oil levels, and overall vehicle condition, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance activities.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle at all times.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; experience as a commercial driver is preferred.
- Proven towing experience with a strong understanding of safe driving practices.
- Previous plant hire delivery experience an advantage.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required during loading or unloading processes.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to identify potential issues early.
- Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends according to scheduling needs.
Pay: £15.00 per hour
