About the role
We manufacture bespoke furniture for commercial clients and are looking for an experienced Assembly Operator to join our timber assembly team.
Key responsibilities
- Assemble bespoke furniture and cabinetry to a high-quality standard
- Read and work from technical drawings and specifications
- Measure, cut, shape and assemble components accurately
- Glue, fit and clamp components and sub-assemblies
- Install and adjust hardware, including hinges, drawer runners, catches, locks and handles
- Sand and prepare surfaces and joints for finishing
- Safely operate woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools
- Inspect completed work against drawings and quality requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area
Requirements
- Previous experience in furniture assembly, cabinet making, joinery or a similar woodworking role
- Good knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery, materials and assembly methods
- Ability to work accurately from technical drawings and measurements
- Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred due to occasional site work
