Love great beer? Want to work in a beautiful new bar in the heart of Faversham?
The Bank is a new craft beer and Italian food venue in Court Street. We’re looking for an experienced bar person to work closely with the General Manager and wider team. That said, we are also interested in hearing from applicants who have a strong desire to learn bar work, and can demonstrate confidence and initiative.
We're obsessed with quality, detail and ensuring people have an amazing time every time they visit. We're looking for people that share our vision, and want to get involved in something truly special.
The role is available immediately and would suit an experienced and capable individual who gets excited about offering exceptional well-sourced drinks and outstanding hospitality. You must enjoy talking to customers, and be familiar with or willing to learn about beer styles, beer pours, breweries, cocktails, wines and basically everything else that comes with running a bar. Our bar has been lovingly built with lots of care and attention - we want it to be friendly and welcoming — and we want people who’ll treat it as if it were their own. We’ve got a fantastic team to work alongside.
You’re probably someone who:
- Genuinely loves or appreciates craft beer and well-sourced drinks (and is keen to go deep and keep learning)
- Cares hugely about customer experience and great service
- Is friendly, warm and great at building rapport with regulars and newcomers alike
- Is confident working in a busy environment, and willing to get stuck in
- Is reliable, trustworthy and a team player
- Is willing to get involved in organising some small events at the venue
The role:
- Around 30 hours per week with some flexibility to increase to 40 (please indicate your availability, and your preferred number of hours - full or part time considered)
- You'll be confident behind the bar and generally interacting with customers; with a keen eye for detail and a flexible approach
- You'll be fully supported by our General Manager and the rest of the team, but must be a team player with a confident, can-do attitude
We'll make sure you're fully trained, and fully supported.
If you’re the kind of person who enjoys creating a welcoming atmosphere, and making customers feel like they’ve found their new favourite bar — we’d love to hear from you.
To apply, please send us your CV plus a brief description of the hours/days you're available for, and most importantly - why you are applying for the role. If you're local, we love the personal touch, so feel free to pop into the bar to hand in your CV, and see what you think!
