We are seeking an Optical Dispenser to join our team in providing excellent eye care services. The role involves assisting customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring their visual needs are met with precision and care.
Duties
- Conduct eye measurements and fittings for eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Assist customers in selecting frames or lenses that suit their preferences and prescriptions
- Provide advice on lens types, coatings, and care instructions
- Adjust frames to ensure comfort and proper fit
- Process orders for lenses and frames
- Maintain accurate customer records
-Prescreening patients for clinical tests before they have the full eye check in the consulting rooms
Teaching patients how to insert & remove contact lenses
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an optical assistant setting is required
- Knowledge of optical laboratory procedures
- Understanding of anatomy related to the eyes
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
