We are an award-winning independent multidisciplinary therapy practice committed to helping children and young people achieve meaningful outcomes through high-quality, collaborative care. As we continue to grow, we are expanding our Speech and Language Therapy service and are looking for an experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join our team on a self-employed associate basis.
Our mission is to support as many children and young people as possible to achieve a quality of life and level of independence that is meaningful to them.
We provide a fully mobile service, delivering assessments and intervention within schools and homes across London and the surrounding areas. There is no expectation of office-based working just purposeful, child-centred practice delivered with flexibility, autonomy and professionalism.
The Role
We're offering a unique opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to carry out school-based EHCP assessments, annual reviews and intervention on a self-employed basis.
This role is ideal for a therapist who can commit to a minimum of two weekdays' availability during school hours and is looking for consistent school-based work. You'll work independently, manage your own diary, and make a meaningful difference to children's communication, learning and participation.
Current referrals are primarily within London, with opportunities expected to expand across London and the surrounding areas as the practice continues to grow. Applicants should therefore be willing to travel where required.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver Speech and Language Therapy assessments and intervention for children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
- Complete high-quality EHCP advice reports and annual review reports.
- Develop practical therapy recommendations and programmes for schools and families.
- Liaise effectively with school staff, families and other professionals to support positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and manage your own caseload professionally and independently.
Requirements
- HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist.
- Minimum of 1–2 years' paediatric Speech and Language Therapy experience.
- Experience contributing to EHCP assessments and reports.
- Confidence working independently and managing your own caseload.
- Access to your own clinical supervision (as this is a self-employed associate role).
- Availability for a minimum of one-two full weekdays per week during school hours.
- Willingness to travel within London and the surrounding areas.
