Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to manage warehouse operations, support other departments with supplies, and control stock in a food manufacturing setting.
The role includes maintaining food safety standards, ensuring products can be fully traced, keeping stock records accurate, and safely lifting and moving items over 25kg around the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage stock using FIFO and maintain hygiene and storage standards
- Receive deliveries, check quality/quantity, and report discrepancies
- Safely move goods throughout the warehouse and onto racking, handling items weighing up to 25kg in line with manual handling guidelines.
- Conduct regular stock checks and track daily material usage
- Manage short-dated or surplus stock (e.g. clearance)
- Clean as you go principle as well as other cleaning task as required.
- Supply materials to Production, Dispatch and assist departments as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment but not essential.
- Ability to follow procedures and handle manual lifting and moving heavy items (in excess of 25kg) line with manual handling guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and organisation
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic IT skills (stock systems, spreadsheets)
