Student Engagement Officer
Full time – Monday to Friday Greenwich – Hybrid – 3 days office based & 2 days remote working
Salary £30,000.00 per annum
Twin Training International’s University Placements team partners with multiple UK universities to deliver postgraduate industrial placement programmes, preparing MSc students in fields including data science, finance, engineering, life sciences and computing for one-year industry placements.
We are looking for a Student Engagement Officer who brings genuine sector understanding alongside strong employability coaching expertise. What will distinguish the right candidate is not coaching ability alone, but an intellectual curiosity about different industries and a commitment to becoming the sector expert each student cohort needs — adapting knowledge as the programme portfolio expands and the graduate market evolves.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structured 1:1 CV reviews providing substantive, sector-calibrated feedback and clear improvement plans
- 7+ employability workshops per cohort per partner, adapted to each programme's discipline and career destinations
- Industry-specific job search guides, role overviews and application resources for each supported programme
- 1:1 interview preparation, advisory sessions and job search strategy support
- Accurate and timely student records on the Twin CRM and partner SharePoints
- Collaborative working with university programme leaders and careers teams
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a university careers, placement or higher education setting with a clear understanding of postgraduate programme structures
- Proven ability to review and improve CVs at a content level across different sectors
• Working knowledge of two or more graduate employment sectors sufficient to advise students on employer expectations • The ability to build sector knowledge quickly from structured materials and apply it accurately
- Strong written communication and the independence to manage a varied caseload across multiple partners
- Disciplined approach to CRM record-keeping and document management
