Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Activity Management Planner within the Operations Flight Optimization Section at RAF Lakenheath. The incumbent oversees and integrates data from various sub-AMPs into the Base Comprehensive Asset Management Plan, ensuring high-quality built and network asset inventory data within Sustainment Management Systems. Additionally, the AMP Manager directs planning, budgeting, and execution of investment programs, drafts budgeting documentation, conducts quality assurance compliance reviews, and provides critical technical and hands-on maintenance guidance.
Qualifications and Key skills
- A valid UK CAT B driving license
One of the following:
· An accredited Bachelors or honors degree in engineering or technology
· An accredited Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in engineering or technology started before September 1999
· An HNC or HND started after September 1999 (but before September 2010 in the case of HNC) or a Foundation Degree in engineering or technology, plus appropriate further learning to degree level (i.e. NVQ Level 6)
· A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) or Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) at level 4, plus appropriate further learning to degree level (i.e. NVQ Level 6)
· Equivalent qualifications or accredited apprenticeships, or at an equivalent level in a relevant national or internationals qualifications framework.

**All qualifications are required to be accompanied by at least 1 year’s specialized experience.
Architecture series
- Degree in Architecture or related field that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines together with 1 year of specialized experience.
OR
- Combination of education: minimum Level 5 (i.e. BTEC Higher National Diploma Level 5 in Architectural Technology or related field) together with a minimum of 1 years of specialized experience

The ideal candidate possesses a comprehensive foundation in engineering and asset planning principles, alongside a deep understanding of investment processes required to develop a composite installation and public complex. This expertise is paired with a strong grasp of program management, common business and economic theories, financial management standards, and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting System. Additionally, they bring a thorough knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and Equal Employment Opportunity regulations. Operationally, they demonstrate the ability to plan, conduct, and record facility surveys, analyze complex regulatory environments to recommend timely, economical solutions, and organize workloads effectively to meet program objectives within resource constraints. Finally, they are highly skilled at communicating complex concepts both orally and in writing to senior officials across federal, local government, and industry sectors.

1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. This position may also be coded as mission essential.
2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.
3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.
4. Start and end times may adjust to support mission requirements in line with organization flex-time policies. The incumbent may be assigned overtime and other duties appropriate to their grade and skill set. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
5. May be required to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Force during exercises or in the event of an actual emergency.
6. Inspections may be conducted in "hard-hat" areas and may require walking, bending, climbing, and stooping. Appropriate professional registration/certification is desired but not required.
