Teaching Assistant
We are working closely with an independent SEMH school, part of a well-established group of specialist schools across the UK. Their Stockport provision is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to work both 1:1 and with small groups of Primary aged children with complex SEMH, ASC, and associated behavioural and learning needs.

Job specification:
- Full-time, long-term contract (ongoing), with potential for permanent
- Complex SEMH, ASC and associated needs, pupils aged 5-18 years
- Work with small groups of 1-3 children, supporting with behavioural management and emotional regulation
- Support academic, social, emotional and personal development
- Provide tailored support to a range of children, building close rapport
- Daily rate: £90-£110, hours 8.30-3.30pm
Person specification:
- Previous experience working with SEND/SEMH, preferably in a school-based setting
- L2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, but not essential
- Calm, resilient and patient to deal with challenging behaviour and fast-changing situations
- Kind and supportive of small achievements to help all pupils thrive!
