Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Barista/All Rounder to join our team. This role involves preparing high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service and supporting various operational tasks within our coffee shop. The ideal candidate will be passionate about ensuring a welcoming environment, understand the importance of exceptional consistency and be willing to embed themselves as part of our coffee shop community. Previous Barista experience is preferred as you will be joining us at the start of our busiest period.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and other drinks according to company standards
- Assist with food preparation and presentation, ensuring quality and hygiene standards are maintained
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, providing excellent customer service at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Restock supplies and organise stock levels to ensure smooth daily operations
- Support team members with general duties such as cleaning, organising displays, and managing queues during busy periods
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
- Previous barista experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Experience in serving customers efficiently with a friendly demeanour
- Basic food preparation skills for handling food orders when required
- Good numeracy skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Excellent organisational skills to maintain cleanliness and stock levels effectively

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
