As an Area Sales Manager, you’ll play a key part in keeping things moving for our customers, suppliers and The Pros around you. You’ll take ownership, solve problems properly, and work with people across the business to make things simpler, faster and better.
You’ll be trusted to get stuck in, make decisions, and see things through.
Manage and grow a portfolio of regional and local customer accounts
Identify and win new business opportunities within your geographical area
Build strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders
Grow existing accounts through cross-sell and upsell opportunities across all HSS ProService divisions
Work closely with operational teams and branch networks to deliver excellent customer outcomes
Negotiate commercial agreements and support tender opportunities
Manage pricing, profitability, discounting, and debt considerations across your portfolio
Review account performance and identify opportunities for profitable growth
Use CRM systems and sales data to manage pipeline activity and customer engagement
Meet and exceed KPIs including revenue growth, profitability, new business wins, and portfolio performance
We’re looking for someone who knows how to get things done and works well with others to make it happen.
You don’t need to tick every single box, but you’ll likely bring:
Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management
A track record of growing profitable customer relationships and winning new business
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance revenue, margin, and customer value
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive, resilient, and self-motivated approach
Strong planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills
Confidence using CRM systems, Excel, and sales tools
The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with wider teams
