Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Recovery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. This role requires a professional approach, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries. The Recovery Driver will play a vital role in supporting our logistics operations while adhering to safety standards and company policies.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, for vehicle recovery and delivery purposes
- Transport vehicles and goods between locations efficiently and securely
- Assist with loading and unloading using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding schedules and delivery updates
- Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations during operations
- Assist in warehouse activities as needed, including inventory management and vehicle organisation
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a driving or delivery driver
- Strong driving skills with a valid <PERSON> driver’s licence and experience operating flatbed vehicles
- Mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues and perform minor repairs or maintenance checks
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for loading, unloading, and organising stock
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items safely when required
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy schedules

Pay: £12.21-£22.03 per hour
