Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems while upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and presentation that meets quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed to support kitchen operations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; a passion for service is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
- Ability to perform basic math for order accuracy and cash handling
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic culinary knowledge is a plus but not mandatory
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Willingness to learn upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities
