Payrate: £28,000- £30,000 (depending on experience)

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, safety, and upkeep of our 24-bed nursing home in Blackwood, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our the people we support staff, and visitors.

What you’ll be doing:
- Build positive relationships with service managers and provide regular maintenance updates.
- Lead and support a team of up to five maintenance assistants, promoting high performance and development.
- Ensure the home, grounds, and facilities are maintained to a high standard, including minor electrical, plumbing, and decorating work.
- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance and support project work as required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with risk assessments and health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records on the CAFM system.
- Supervise maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Support statutory compliance, obtaining required approvals before works commence.
- Seek specialist advice where needed to meet legal and best practice standards.
- Contribute to energy efficiency initiatives.
- Participate in the on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
- Follow company policies and escalate issues when appropriate.
Skills and experience:
- Previous experience of working in facilities management as a facilities manager, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise effectively.
- Good technical knowledge and understanding of when and how to seek specialist expertise.
