Job Overview
Due to expansion we are seeking a professional, friendly and organised Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients attending, phoning or emailing the surgery. They need to be able to provide exceptional customer service and ensure the smooth operation of our front desk. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong administrative skills and a friendly demeanour to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Managing incoming calls and emails and directing enquiries appropriately
- Managing and Maintaining appointment schedules and calendar management
- Data entry and updating records accurately using Microsoft Office and other computer software.
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and organising documents
- Taking and recording payments
- Supporting team members with various clerical duties as required
- Ensuring the reception area remains tidy and welcoming at all times
Criteria Necessary
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs(or equivalent) including Maths and English.
- Ability to work well in a busy environment.
- Previous medical or dental surgery experience preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with data entry, clerical work, or administrative tasks is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
The successful candidates will be subject to a police check as per RQIA requirements.
