Retro Classic Car Garages Ltd is a specialist classic and retro car restoration and modification workshop based near Winford, Bristol. We work on everything from full ground-up restorations to performance upgrades and bespoke build packages, and we're growing fast.
The Role
We're looking for a Experienced Car Mechanic to join our team. You'll be working hands-on across a wide range of classic, retro, and modern-classic vehicles — diagnosing faults, carrying out servicing and repairs and directly working on restoration and build projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults across classic and retro vehicles
- Carry out servicing, repairs, and full mechanical rebuilds
- Strip, assess, and rebuild components to a high standard
- Work on restoration projects from start to finish
- Road test vehicles and sign off on quality of work
- Keep accurate job records and communicate progress clearly
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience working on classic and/or retro vehicles
- Strong all-round mechanical knowledge — carburettors, ignition systems, and older drivetrains as well as modern fuel injection
- Ability to diagnose faults methodically and work independently
- Pride in workmanship and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
- Relevant qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) preferred but not essential if experience is strong
