Part-Time Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care & Supported Living
Overview
Plus Care Givers is a CQC-registered care provider delivering person-centred domiciliary care and supported living services.
We are looking for an experienced, organised and proactive Part-Time Registered Manager to join our management team and play a key role in the quality, compliance and continued development of our services.
This is a hands-on management position suited to someone with strong knowledge of adult social care and CQC requirements who is confident overseeing care quality, staff, compliance and day-to-day service delivery.
You will work closely with the wider management team to ensure that people receiving support are provided with safe, effective, compassionate and well-led care, while helping us continue to develop and grow our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management and quality of our domiciliary care and supported living services
- Ensure services are delivered in line with CQC regulations, fundamental standards and relevant adult social care legislation
- Maintain a high standard of compliance and ensure the service remains ready for CQC inspection
- Support the development, implementation and review of care plans, risk assessments and service-user documentation
- Carry out regular audits and quality assurance checks and ensure actions are completed promptly
- Monitor the quality of care being delivered and identify opportunities for improvement
- Manage safeguarding concerns appropriately and ensure reporting procedures are followed
- Oversee incidents, accidents, complaints and concerns and ensure appropriate investigation and follow-up
- Support the recruitment, induction and ongoing development of care staff
- Carry out staff supervisions, appraisals and competency assessments
- Monitor staff performance and address any concerns appropriately
- Ensure staff training and compliance requirements are kept up to date
- Support safe staffing levels and effective rota planning
- Ensure accurate and timely records are maintained using electronic care management systems
- Work professionally with service users, families, local authorities, commissioners, healthcare professionals and other external organisations
- Support the assessment and onboarding of new care packages
- Ensure policies, procedures and good practice are followed consistently across the service
- Contribute to service development, business growth and continuous improvement
- Help create and maintain a positive, professional and supportive culture for both staff and the people we support
What We’re Looking For
- Previous management experience within domiciliary care, supported living or a similar adult social care setting
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations, fundamental standards and inspection expectations
- Good knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, risk assessment and quality assurance
- Experience managing, supervising and supporting care staff
- Confidence completing audits and maintaining regulatory compliance
- Good understanding of person-centred care and promoting independence, choice and dignity
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently, take responsibility and make appropriate management decisions
- Good IT skills and confidence using electronic care management and record-keeping systems
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or equivalent qualification, is highly desirable
- Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager is highly desirable
- Strong Deputy Managers or Care Managers with suitable experience who are ready to progress into a Registered Manager position are also encouraged to apply
- The successful candidate must be willing and suitable to undertake the CQC Registered Manager application process where required
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable
What We Offer
- £19.00–£24.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
- Part-time permanent position
- Approximately 16–24 hours per week
- Flexible working arrangements where possible
- Training and ongoing professional development
- Support from the wider management team
- Opportunity to make a genuine impact on the quality and development of the service
- Opportunity to work across both domiciliary care and supported living
- Scope for the position to develop as Plus Care Givers continues to grow
About the Role
We are looking for someone who will take genuine ownership of quality and compliance rather than simply oversee day-to-day administration.
The right person will be confident identifying where improvements are needed, putting systems into place, supporting staff and helping ensure that Plus Care Givers consistently provides a high standard of care.
You should be approachable and supportive with staff while also being confident in maintaining professional standards and accountability.
If you have strong adult social care management experience, a good understanding of CQC requirements and would like to play an important role in the continued development of a growing care provider, we would be pleased to hear from you.
