Job Title: Yard Person
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, Day Shifts
Salary: £28,000
About the Company:
Our client, a well-established plant and groundcare dealership, is seeking a proactive and reliable Yard Person to join their team. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the yard, focusing on plant machinery and vehicle preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, secure and unload machinery- full training provided.
- Drive company vehicles, including a 3.5T flatbed van, for customer deliveries and collections.
- Complete deliveries, collections and paperwork safely and on time.
- Carry out vehicle checks and basic maintenance.
- Support the stores team with moving and organising stock.
- Carry out grounds and general yard maintenance, including mowing, strimming, sweeping and painting.
- Complete basic assembly work, such as wheelbarrows and similar equipment.
- Assist customers with horticultural machinery purchases and repairs.
- Maintain a clean, safe and presentable depot.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
