We're looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Part-time Café Assistant to join our welcoming team. CESSAC Cafe is a Tri-Service Charity dedicated to supporting our armed forces community. Become the heart of a welcoming, lively environment where great coffee and friendly service come together! In this dynamic role, you’ll be the first smile customers see, ensuring they enjoy a memorable experience from the moment they walk in. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a warm atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including counters, tables, and equipment
- Handle cash register operations accurately, including processing transactions
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards by following proper hygiene practices and handling procedures
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently without compromising quality or safety
Experience
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and best practices in handling food and beverages
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a lively setting
