Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and soft drinks, in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Take orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring prompt delivery of food and drinks to guests.
- Provide attentive and courteous service, addressing guest needs and resolving any issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area and dining space throughout the shift.
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age when serving alcohol.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system.
- Assist in setting up tables, arranging seating, and ensuring the overall presentation of the venue is inviting.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including responsible alcohol service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
Experience
- Previous experience as a bartender or waitress is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates eager to learn.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of standard drink recipes and customer service best practices is advantageous.
- Must be 16 years or older and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or special events as required.
