Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations in our highly successful cafe. This role offers the unique benefit of no evening working, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality. Previous experience in hospitality management in a fast-paced environment is essential.
We are an independent garden centre, as such this is an opportunity for the right candidate to really contribute and shape the way we operate now and when we implement our future development plans.
Duties
- Manage staff training, scheduling and monitoring to ensure high quality and efficient service.
- Manage and coordinate all restaurant activities to ensure efficient operation and excellent customer service
- Fostering a positive team environment
- Assist the head chef with maintaining quality standards and compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure adherence to health and safety policies, including food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with food production when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction
- Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory efficiently
- Implement training programmes for staff development in hospitality, culinary skills, and customer service
Experience
- Proven supervisory or team management experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Experience in managing food service operations while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
