Role Description
As part of the accounts team, you will be providing a wide range of accounting and audit services to clients. This is a varied role that will predominantly involve accounts and tax preparation work, but will have an element of undertaking audits periodically throughout the year, both in the office and at client premises.
Clients are varied and you will have the opportunity to develop client relationships and deliver on wide ranging projects, working with the wider team. The firm is expanding and has structured growth and development plans in place and so offers an exciting opportunity.
Reporting to the Team Leaders and Directors, your main duties include:
- Prepare accounts for manager’s review and approval
- Prepare company tax computations
- Raise relevant and coherent queries to assist with manager review
- Taking part and conducting audits from planning to review stage
- Coaching and mentoring junior team members
- Presenting results to managers and agree commercially viable audit recommendations
- Supervising and reviewing the work of more junior audit staff
- Build strong relationships with clients
- Keeping up to date with changes in accounting and auditing standards
Profile
You will be:
- Qualified by experience, ACA/ACCA part qualified or newly qualified, with a background in a mixed accounts/audit role.
- Passionate about offering a high-quality service to clients
- Friendly, and able to communicate clearly to both your colleagues and clients.
- Knowledge of Iris Software and MyWorkpapers preferable, but not essential
- Have commercial awareness and great time management
