We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team, overseeing the day-to-day operation of both The Brasserie and The Hive.
This is a hands-on supervisory role where you’ll lead by example, confidently moving between different service environments, from ala carte dinner service in The Brasserie to drinks and service in The Hive. You’ll support the management team in maintaining operational standards, maximising team performance and creating memorable experiences for our guests.
The Role
- Report to and work closely with the Restaurant Managers and Assistant Restaurant Managers to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of The Brasserie and The Hive.
- Support the Restaurant Managers and Assistant Restaurant Managers in leading, motivating and developing the F&B team.
- Take responsibility for the smooth running of designated services, ensuring effective delegation, communication and team productivity.
- Lead by example, maintaining consistently high standards of 5-star guest service across both departments.
- Ensure all mise-en-place, service areas and equipment are prepared to the required standard before, during and after service.
- Monitor service flow and team productivity, stepping in to support wherever required and ensuring guests’ needs are anticipated and responded to promptly.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation are maintained across The Brasserie and The Hive.
- Work closely with the kitchen and wider F&B team to ensure orders are communicated accurately and food is delivered to the correct guest, with particular attention to allergens and dietary requirements.
- Ensure tables are correctly set and maintained throughout service, including glassware, cutlery, crockery, water and other guest requirements.
- Support the team in delivering high standards of tea, coffee and bar service, including cocktails and other drinks where required.
- Ensure drinks and cocktails are prepared consistently, efficiently and to the required standard within The Hive.
- Monitor guest feedback throughout service, resolving issues promptly and professionally and escalating to the Restaurant Managers or Assistant Restaurant Managers where appropriate.
- Maintain strong attention to detail around orders, payments, bills and guest requests.
- Work with the Restaurant Managers and Assistant Restaurant Managers to drive sales, productivity and team performance.
- Support the training and development of team members, ensuring colleagues understand and consistently follow our service standards.
- Lead by example in promoting Calcot’s values, including our approach to hospitality, sustainability and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Ensure all relevant food safety, hygiene, licensing and company procedures are followed by the team.
About you
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within food and beverage, hospitality or a similar customer-focused environment.
- A confident and engaging communicator who can motivate, support and empower a team.
- Strong food and drink knowledge, including an excellent understanding of allergens and dietary requirements.
- Comfortable working across different F&B environments, including restaurant, breakfast and bar service.
- Highly organised with excellent time management and the ability to prioritise and delegate effectively.
- Able to remain calm, positive and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining consistently high standards.
- A hands-on approach with the willingness to get involved and support the team wherever required.
- Passionate about hospitality and creating genuinely memorable guest experiences.
- Confident in handling guest queries and resolving service issues professionally.
- A team player who communicates effectively with colleagues across F&B, kitchen and the wider business.
- Weekend availability is essential.
