Business Development Executive
Location: Farnham (Office Based)
Salary: £28,000–£32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday–Friday | 7:30am–4:30pm
The Opportunity
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Business Development Executive to become the driving force behind one of our most valuable business assets—our CRM database and market intelligence.
This is a key role within our Business Development team, ideal for someone who enjoys research, organisation and turning information into opportunity. You'll work closely with the Business Development Managers to identify prospective clients, maintain high-quality business intelligence and provide the foundations that help us win new work.
You'll build trust through accuracy, deliver results through exceptional attention to detail, put our customers at the heart of everything you do, and play your part in helping the team succeed together.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and maintain NHQ's CRM system, ensuring all company and contact records remain accurate and up to date.
- Research prospective clients across our target sectors and identify key decision-makers.
- Build and maintain target account lists to support Business Development activity.
- Research company structures, workplace projects and business intelligence.
- Prepare accurate datasets for marketing campaigns and outbound Business Development.
- Continuously improve CRM data quality by identifying duplicates, correcting inaccuracies and enriching records.
- Produce reports and maintain accurate records of Business Development activity.
- Support the Business Development Director with CRM management, research and day-to-day administration.
- Identify opportunities to improve our Business Development processes and the quality of our market intelligence.
What You'll Bring
- Experience within Business Development, CRM administration, sales support, research or a similar role.
- Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and databases.
- Excellent online research and written communication skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership of your workload.
- A collaborative mindset with a desire to continuously improve and help the wider team succeed.
- Experience within construction, architecture, commercial property or professional services would be advantageous but isn't essential.
