Job Overview
As a self employed Learning Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and dedicated support to individual with Learning disabilities.
In this role specifically you will be working with a young man who lives with family. He is 19 years old and is quite capable. he needs support accessing the community
This position requires a strong commitment to care and the ability to work effectively with individuals facing diverse challenges.
Responsibilities
- Support individual with daily living activities such as meal preparation and prompt any medication administration.
- Assist with attending activities, and appointments.
- Engage in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions.
- Facilitate social activities and encourage participation in community events.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the individual's condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
- Drive client to appointments or social outings as required. Full clean drivers licence required.
- Help client to use buses and other forms of transport
- No overnight stays in this role
- No personal care
Experience and qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Supported living environments.
- Home caring settings.
- A genuine passion for caring with those who have learning disabilities
- Working in schools perhaps as a teacher or Learning support assistant.
Qualifications in health and social care are not a necessity for this role but you will be expected to complete the Care certificate and further training at the companies cost as part of your role.

Pay: £17.00-£20.00 per hour
